Nicht wie sonst andere unter dem Namen Elexir firmierende Rum. Süß aber nicht zu viel, viel Fruchtnoten dabei und Vanille, Kokos. Bin wirklich angetan, der Abgang fällt für den Geschmack fast zu kurz aus.

Very fruity on the nose and all kinds of sugar aromas you know. Cinnamon and other spices also create a Christmas feeling. Mega thick and sweet in the mouth, so you have to call it a liqueur.

7,5:The nose is quite sweet with scents of vanilla, butterscotch toffee and maple syrup all rising into the breezes. After the aering, oak spice pushes through the toffee sweetness, other sweet scents of candied oranges and canned apricots noticed. Coconut as well as some ripe banana finally appear as well. The scents and smells are enticing, although I am wondering how the overt sweetness will play itself out when the rum is tasted.... 6,5:On the palate, rum enters the mouth with a little bite of heated alcohol and wood spice. There is also an overt maple sweetness which is initially quite tasty; but which soon seems out of step with the structure of the rum. Notes of peppery oak spice, maple, honey and apricot jam with a touch of sour pineapple.When an ice cube added-whatta sin😈, allowing the dram to cool, the rum seems to find new life. I can now sip the spirit quite easily, and the cloying nature of the sweetness has abated. I am actually increasing the score a little now that I have found a suitable way to enjoy it. 6,5:The finish is full bodied, due to added sweetness.Sweet butterscotch and maple combined with oak and oak spice tasted. Baking spice and cinnamon linger also honeyed sweetness. This rum looses its appeal if it is sipped neat more than one glass, but it is my wife 's favourite 🙂...

This rum is so sweet that it tastes more like sugar liqueur than rum. Caramel, vanilla, and coconut still give it an interesting note. For my taste, however, too sweet and more suitable for dessert or baking.

Lovely sweet alcoholic spirit, lots of vanilla and coconut on the palate as well as nose. It is very sweet so I recommend this as a digestive. Since I love coconut this one is the one for me as a dessert.

The last batch No. 018 has a slightly darker color than the previous ones, the taste of this rum is perhaps fuller and more playful because of that. I didn't find anywhere if the recipe changed, but the new deeper taste of this sweet rum elixir is even better than before.

Disgusting! A sticky sweet slime slides down the throat, whose only relation to rum is through an alcoholic sharpness that follows this sugary solution. Bah Bah Bah!!! Undrinkable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very sweet Rum. Great for beginners. I can one glass a night but not more, because it is so sweet. Smooth, round, sweet, caramel taste. Not spicy. Not alcoholic. Nice sweet nosing. Nice golden color. Sweetness comes from added sugar to be fair (says liqueur on the bottle). Might be great for desert with some vanilla ice.

Very sweet rum where the alcohol is largely lost, lots of citrus, honey, vanilla, caramel, interesting tropical hint in the taste. For long drinking it is too sweet in my opinion. But as a dessert taste good 🙂

While the rum is still pleasantly fruity on the nose with orange and lemon peel, the nasty awakening comes on the palate: pure sugar with alcohol and artificial orange flavor.

A sweetness to be enjoyed with a good dessert, very sweet but there's an audience for that; for beginners in the rum world, I find it's a very good choice. You can find beautiful notes on the palate of spices, citrus peels, vanilla, and if you look a little, a very light coconut finish. It's a real dessert in a bottle.

Nose: flavored sugar syrup and liqueur, that doesn't bode well... Palate: hmm, I could stop here, this isn't fun! There's an immediate syrupy, artificially fruity sweetness in the mouth. How much sugar could be in there? I guess about 100g per liter. Finish: none Definitely not for me!
