"Is this even a Caroni?" is the question that keeps coming up. Several members expected the usual tar and diesel and got something lighter instead — vanilla, orange peel, tropical fruit, a whisper of varnish and menthol, with oak taking over the finish. What an amazing rum! Very good balanced rum and alcohol is integrated very well! Pleasant to drink. Caroni untypical fruity notes in the nose. Delicious and mild in the mouth with some notes of different tropical fruits and oak. Finish in medium long with a dominant taste of the barrel. Only minus is the unspectacular finish!

This bottling of the two Caronis from Compagnie des Indes is definitely better than the previous one, but it still doesn't really convince me. Tried it once and finished the rest with cola.

Is this supposed to be a Caroni ? The rum actually has nothing to do with the typical Caroni notes. In my opinion, it could rather be an Angostura...definitely an LTR.

A light rum with a subjectively perceived high proportion of neutral alcohol. Unfortunately, I don't find it very appealing, as there is no complexity of flavor or particularly harmonious base notes. Still pleasant overall, but without any expressiveness.
