The best of the brand so far. Nice oaky flavor with a bit of a burn at the end. Enjoyed straight and mixed. I give it somewhere between a five and a half and a six.
Editing after letting it sit 15 minutes. It really grew on me from my inital 6.5. Palate: honey, coconut and hints of various fruits. Finish: long and warm as expected of the 5 year. It’s unique considering where it is aged and well, everything… it’s Hawaii. For what it is, well done. Excited to see Koloa Rum releases in the future.
