🥃 Rump@blic Sicilian Legacy – Barbados 2019 – 43% First bottling of the young brand Rump@blic, this 100% molasses rum from Barbados spent 3 years in ex-bourbon barrels on site, before benefiting from a 6-month finish in semi-dry Marsala casks in the Florio cellars, in Marsala (Sicily), very close to the Mediterranean. Nose: Caramel, dried fruits, a little vanilla touch. Palate: Toffee, vanilla, woody and spicy notes. Finish: Spicy, woody, with a well-marked Marsala finish. Not a must-have, but honestly, I expected worse. A nice introduction for the brand!
