Rest & Be Thankful Assemblage #01
Sip this neat and you get a fruity, funky Jamaican blend — pineapple, green mango, banana, a little glue and roasted oak. Four distilleries married together, and most tasters call it an "easy sipper." The recurring gripe: at 46% it reads a touch thin and diluted, so the nose promises a bit more than the palate pays off.

- Easy to drink
- But: Thin on palate

Fruity, funky Jamaican blend, a bit thin Well-liked as a gentle way into Jamaican funk — fruity, spiced, drinkable. The common complaint is the reduced strength: several find it thin and wish it hit harder.

Very good blend of Jamaican rums, very fruity and funky. At 46%, it is ideal for beginners who want to get to know Jamaican rum. At the same time, it is also interesting for connoisseurs who want to try their hand at tasting the different distilleries. If there were to be an unreduced bottling of this, I would be there in a heartbeat.

Tasted during the RumX masterclass. Huge thanks the guys from R&BT for presenting their range! Very nice exploration of some low(we) ester marks. While some of the noses were a little light, the long aged expressions are very interesting on the palate across the board. Very interesting! :) Very well executed blend with a lot flavor on the plate despite the low ABV. Nice one.

07.02.2024 retasting at online tasting with Rest & Be Thankful. Nose Light roasted wood, fruits, light medicinal, faint tar. Palate Light roasted wood, fruits, light medicinal, naturally sweet. Finish Medium long, naturally sweet, citrus, light caramel, faint medicinal. Very thick slow moving curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some orange, mint, and light chocolate notes. -------------------- #4384 22.10.2023 Whisky Live 2023

Nach dem RumX R&BT Tasting am 7.2. den Rest nochmal mit mehr Ruhe verkostet: Zum Einstieg den Assemblage. Ein Blend aus Clarendon, Long Pond, New Yarmouth und Worthy Park, alles mindestens 13 Jahre gereift. An der Nase Zitrusbrause, Kumquat, Milchcreme. Sandelholz. Am Gaumen würzig, fruchtig, recht mild. Leckerer, entspannter Sipper. Die 46% ABV passen hier gut.

Creamy & slight ester notes on the nose. Citrus fruits. Gentle mouthfeel, still creamy and nice fruits on the pallate. A bit wood & spices. Easy sipper with a medium-short finish. With a bit higher abv would be really enjoyable :)

So this is the last one of the Rum&Co Sample Set, and the best one as well. In general I am quite fond of Jamaica and Funk, and this Rum has some of it. Not overly much, but enough to bring this natural sweetness, Ananas and Esters. It is suitable as a sipper and good as an entry to more eccentric Rums. The finish does provide a nice change by switching from fruit to wood, but that is expected looking at the age of the Blend.

Very inviting nose. Typical Jamaican associations (tropical fruits, especially pineapple, glue and pleasant vanilla notes from the barrel maturation). After 30 minutes, the aromas unfold even more. Quite creamy on the palate despite the reduction to 46%. A very nice rum for Jamaican beginners.

Master tasting from Rest & Be Thankful via RumX This is an exceptional blend from four different Jamaican distilleries. It offers a broad spectrum of different aromas, but in my opinion it is too reduced. Without reduction, many flavors would certainly be added or be much more present. All in all, a good rum for beginners
Review by Skyfly
Sehr fruchtiger Jamaica-Blend.
Review by Jakob

8,2:On the nose, esters and solvents, fermented, overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, citrus fruits, vegetal molasses, spicy, oaky roasted wood notes like pastry, cookie dough and caramel, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, lime and green fruits are out, grassy molasses, mineral, chocolate with cinnamon, some rubber. 7,9:On the palate, the attack is funky, medicinal with esters, rubber, slightly metallic, sweet, fruity with overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, red and citrus fruits, on oxidation mango and papaya, as the wood is roasted with caramel, pastry, spicy with vanilla and pepper, salty, the molasses is grassy with hay, vegetal with olive hints. 7,8:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal, the molasses is grassy, sweet with honey, the fruits are red, tropical and green, the wood is more roasted with caramel, confectionery, chocolate and roasted nuts, spicy..

RumX/Kirsch-Online-Tasting Rest&Be Thankful!

Review by Boletus
