Pretty tasty piece. Although we only have 43% in the glass here, because the rest has evaporated away, this rum tastes quite full and complex, mild and very smooth at the same time. The palate is predominantly aniseed and papaya - the finish is unfortunately very weak and short, but you don't retain any aniseed on the palate. The nose is immediately Guyana. It could have done with a few % more.

Wow, it's so delicate! Nose: gentle aromas of resin, sandal, green apple, nutmeg, cardamon, bergamot, vintage furniture. Wonderful. Palate: oily, wax. Perfect ballance. Some sandal wood, pine needles, bergamot, nutmeg, cardamon. Delicious. Aftertaste: long, delicate, oily. Cardamon, resin, sandal wood, bergamot, nutmeg, green tea. Conclusion: Old Uitvlught - it's always delicious. Wonderful texture, aroma, taste and ballance. One rule: if you see something old Uitvlught – try it. 'Cuz it's almost always wonderful.
