Damoiseau Rhum Vieux Agricole
Here's the twist: the nose is the best part. People find it elegant and warm — brown sugar, caramel, a little nutmeg and that herbal agricole scent over plenty of oak. Then the palate arrives softer than expected: floral, spicy and woody, but several tasters felt it thinned out and "lacking of complexity." A pretty 15-year Guadeloupe agricole that promises more on the nose than it lands on the sip.

Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Elegant nose, but thin, simple palate Lovely, elegant nose most people enjoy, but the palate falls a bit flat — several call it empty and wish for a higher proof. Nice, not memorable.

Another agricole rhum and another very nice experience. Aroma is very elegant, pleasant, little bit sweet (brown sugar mostly maybe caramel), fruity and I noticed that “agricole” scent of some herbs with quite a lot of barrel/wood scents. Taste was different, and I have to say I missed something in it. I noticed mostly floral taste which was elegant with combination of some spice, wood and brown sugar. Finish for me is lomg enough pretty warmy and pleasant. Very nice sample but as I mentioned I missing something in taste. Maybe more ABV could helped this rhum, maxbe hint of some fruity/juicy flavor. If you have chance to taste it, give it a chance you will not be dissapointed.

This is not a bad rum. The scents are great, but the flavors didn’t match the scents nor my expectations. It’s distilled at the Bellevue distillery in Guadeloupe and was aged in ex-bourbon barrels before bottled in 2022 after reduction to 42%. The nose is full bodied, warm, fruity, spicy and woody with scents of nutmeg, caramel and coffee. At the palate it’s smooth, spicy, fruity and woody with flavors of vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is rather short with spicy notes.

A nice nose, woody but yet elegant, it's completely lacking of complexity when sipped. A bit disappointing when comparing with other single vintage, but I think it's a matter of low ABV, would be nice to know what would have been at an higher proof

Manque de complexité, faible degrés d’alcool. Tout de même agréable à boire.
