A1710 La Perle 2022
Grass, fennel, artichoke and hay pour out of the glass — this is agricole with the green turned all the way up, and the cane, citrus and pepper have to fight through it. At 54.5% it's powerful, almost brutal, with an oily body and a decent citrus-tinged finish. Members like the finesse but call the profile simple, so many reach for it in a ti punch.

How does A1710 La Perle 2022 taste?
Aggregated from 32 community reviews.
Powerful, very green agricole blanc Most tasters respect it — fresh, punchy, honest agricole — but several find the green so dominant it flattens the rest. A ti punch fills in the gaps.

Review by TheRhumhoe
A powerful, almost brutal white rum, despite a slight reduction in alcohol content. The nose is very vegetal, with aromas of grass, artichoke, fennel, hay and pepper. This omnipresent greenness masks the sugarcane, citrus and spices that try to intrude on the nose. The greenness returns on the palate, even stronger and overshadowing most of the flavors. Only a few spices (pepper, aniseed) manage to cross the palate. This very simplistic profile leaves us wanting more, because there's not much more to come from it. Alcohol is also quite present, more so than on the Perle Brut de fût edition, paradoxically enough. The finish returns to the same profile, with a decent length. A rum that will stand out best in Ti Punch, the brown sugar and lime will give a little sweetness and greediness to this dry, intense profile.

A superb Martinique white. Lots of finesse. A very present cane and a very vegetal profile. Marked lemon zest. Roundness and elegance with good length. A real success story.

Palate Oily, fresh, fruity, light metallic, floral, light citrus, faint iodine, faint olive, faint salt, sugarcane, medium spicy. Finish Medium to long, oily, round, fruity, light mango, light citrus, sugarcane. Empty glass Sugarcane, light peach, spice, floral, light olive. Price to quality is very good.
