Cassis, redcurrant and grape sit over the cane-juice base, with cinnamon, a light acidity and gentle tannins on the finish. Several tasters like the balance and the value; a couple wish it had more power and a softer, less tart finish. Blind, it barely reads as an agricole anymore.

Tasted at RhumFest 2024: On the nose, the usual woodiness of these vintages, vanilla and the grape flavors of the cask. Similar sensations on the palate. It's sweet and saves. Elegant woodiness. No real surprises here, but it's still very good.

Spannender Agricole mit edlem Rotwein Finish. Der Rotwein bringt Noten von Zimt, Früchtebrot und viel roten Beeren wie cassis und Johannisbeeren mit. Dazu eine leichte Säure und angenehme Tannine. Könnte insgesamt etwas mehr Power haben und die Säure im Abgang könnte etwas weniger dominant sein. Blind als Agricole allerdings kaum noch erkennbar.
