Wow, quite extraordinary for a 4-ender! Seems much older than it is, has really nice, woody depth. Alcohol could be a little better integrated, but for this quality excellent PLV. Successful label (even if that is for the smell / taste heartily indifferent).

Doesn't really pick me up. Very biting, spicy and primarily meaty umami after Maggi and roasted aromas of young wood. Somehow not round and very balanced.... Definitely not a drinking recommendation from me.

With only 4 years of maturation, the French oak barrels bring impressively strong wood aromas with subtle hints of furniture polish into play. This goes really well with the sugar cane distillate, which is characterized by fruity and herbal notes. Due to its youth, the rhum sometimes comes across as somewhat biting and also has subtle soapy notes that remind me of fresh coriander leaves, but for its price it offers quite a lot.

A real surprise. Although the rum is more like a primary school pupil at 4 years old, it develops a really broad cross on the tongue. Beautiful complexity with wood, fruit and grassy notes. Agricole is always good for finding a great rhum at affordable prices!!!

8,3:On the nose, fresh with tea, minty, herbaceous, vegetal with olive, earthy sugarcane, fermented, roasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate, roasted nuts, smoky, barrel impact is obvious, citrus fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the cane is musty, grassy with hay, there are hints of peat, some honey sweetness, dried, yellow fruits, apple come out, vanilla and fruitcake. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is a mix of roasted wood notes like leather, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, spicy, meaty, smoky and herbaceous, hayish sugar cane, dark with black tea, mineral, flowery, vegetal with olive, salty and candied, dry, fruity with citrus abd dried fruits, on oxidation, pastry and allspice join. 8,3:The finish is long, dry&tannic, slightly soapy, with sweet sugar cane honey, flowery, green, fresh(chamomile), earthy with tobacco, a bit musty, pairing roasted oak notes, spicy, nutty and dried figs, raisins.

Beautiful Martinique rum! With its 58% He delivers decent taste, although the alcohol could be a little better integrated. But that is for four years already quite neat. Blind I would have him by the nose not at all prescribed in Martinique, the mixture of fruity notes and something sweet-caramel is not so typical for me. On the palate then but more herbal-earthy, overall very tasty as I find!

Young, fresh, Agricole. Nose: clearly Agricole. Spicy, woody, fruity. Young wood, almost a little green, plus intense lime, green apple and tart-sweet gooseberry, kiwi and redcurrant. A fine vinegar note is added here. Young and unripe, but pleasant. 7,4 Palate: spicy, woody, nutty, fruity, young. Pleasantly malty, with the sweetness of tonka bean and liquorice. Sweet cherry wood and mace with walnut. Also herbs, camomile, hay and grass. Most fruit is blackcurrant and prune. There is also a fine eucalyptus note and my typical soapiness. Very pleasant without being complicated. 7,8

A very interesting, young Agricole from Martinique! Nose: Very fruity, apple, lemon, vegetal note.... Palate: The 58% are noticeable and not well integrated. Very vegetal, less fruity. Finish: long, fine and elegant. I like it a lot.

A powerful Agricole, with quite a lot of bite. Too much for me to really enjoy casually. I get fruit but also some herbal notes - those are a bit more to the background. I wonder how this would be sipping fresh or still more aged.

Nice sipper that starts relaxed and only develops a certain sharpness at the end. The tropical influence seems to have developed its effect despite short storage, but you can still tell that it is a little unrounded. PLV super.

Wow, an amazingly intense nose for the young age, really like it. The palate also surprises me, the intensity of the cask after such a short time. I should have bought a bottle, now it’s probably too late.

Due to the shorter maturation, this is a very mature rum. Beautifully full, sweet, typically herbal, black tea, beautiful taste of cane juice, agricole notes are nice and strong thanks to higher ABV.
