South Pacific RA Fiji Rum FSDP 2001
A well-aged, unsweetened Fiji that splits opinions: many enjoy its unique herbal, juniper and medicinal twist over wood and dried fruits, others miss the typical fruity Fiji funk and find it unbalanced.
Seasoned Fiji or Islay whisky fans who enjoy dry, herbal, slightly medicinal profiles and want a high‑ABV, off‑beat take on the 2001 Fiji vintage.

How does South Pacific RA Fiji Rum FSDP 2001 taste?
Herbal, woody, very atypical Fiji
If you like quirky, herbal cask‑strength rums and don’t mind a less fruity Fiji, this is a fun curveball; if you worship classic Fiji funk, approach with caution.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers expecting a fruity, funky classic Fiji 2001 profile without medicinal or gin‑like herbal notes.

RumX Community Tasting Fiji 2001. A nose dominated by pine resin, but also vegetal, toasted, orange peel, menthol and candy-like notes. The candy comes back on the palate, with a sweet/pastry side. Vegetal/pine resin and cedar wood. The finish is long, with vegetal notes, pine resin and menthol. Very nice empty glass, fruity and woody. The aromas in this rum are a little surprising, but personally I like them because they remain dynamic and tasty.
Incredible, but not in a positive sense.... Personally, I find the thing undrinkable and would never fill something like that! So a blatant note of Genever, which I was almost sick...and the Fiji DNA can completely move into the background. Low point of RA bottlings for me😢
