Beautiful LP Nose very restrained... Sweetish peach, honeydew melon, green apple and very light ester notes. On the palate ... first again an unusual sweetness, immediately some bitterness. Little fruit ... lots of wood and herbs . Not quite convincing on its own... but delivers a decent Mai Tai as a blend.

Wow, here is directly something going on in the nose! Ester and the fruitiness of a fruit basket are directly present. Clearly more esters and funk than RX7107. Great creaminess on the palate with very well integrated alcohol. I like it very much!

Nice and rich fruit basket on the nose which I found in other 2000 VRWs. In this one, however, there is also a ton of herbal and vegetal notes which I do not associated with this mark at all. Somewhat more akin to PM notes, maybe..? On the palate it is a bit more as expected. Fruits are a little tamed with woodies and again some herbal notes.

Delicious Long Pond with well-integrated ABV. Edit: The bottle is now almost empty and for me this is still a successful bottling with a good PLV. Ripe fruits, citrus fruits and some marzipan dominate.

I like it very much! He is not an ester bomb, but has nice fruit notes and at the same time creamy chocolate notes. I am only bothered by a minimal gin note.

#4488 03-04.11.2023 Den Danske Whiskyfestival. Again a special meet up besides the event itself because we think it's a bit too dull. Had a great time with friends again. My notes. Nose: wood, roasted, ester, overripe fruits, glue, light funk. Palate: warm, wood, ester, oily overripe fruits, citrus. Finish: long and warm, ester, fruits Empty glass has light vanilla.

Not a bad long pond but also not a highlight, taste predominates for me wood and acidic tannins, could have more spice and more fruitiness.Overall good drinking flow but just does not really knock me off my stool.

Good Long Pond from Heinz Eggert. Nose typical Jamicca, esters, tropical fruits like pineapple and some glue. On the palate only esters and tropical fruits, just a normal Jamaican as it is written in the book ;-)

Jamaica ohne Hampden Tasting: Klasse Abfüllung die Spaß macht; typischer Jamaicaner mit viel Tropischen Früchten und Estern. Daneben junges Holz, aber auch Röstaromen sowie gebrannter Zucker im Gaumen.

An average long pond. I find missing both the fruitiness of continental ageing releases and the ooh effect of tropically aged long pond. On the nose a bit of vinagre that we'll find again when drinking, some sour cream and ananas, traits common also drink side

Ein sehr schöner LP ohne besonders spektakulär zu sein. Die Nase braucht ein wenig, dann ist es aber eine schöne Mischung aus Funk und Fass. Am Gaumen finde ich den Fasseinfluss sehr präsent aber angenehm. Schön trocken und adstringend zum Ende. Gefällt mir gut.

Ganz netter Long Pond, aber kein übermäßiger Kracher. Ester und Funky, aber irgendwie fehlt mir was. Hat mich nicht zu überzeugend für eine bessere Bewertung abgeholt. Im Abgang finde ich ihn zu bitter.
