8,6:On the nose, the first impression we get is very pleasant with smoky charred wood notes like caramel, pastry, nuts, bacon and fruity with orange peel, lime, dried fruits like apricots, figs, all together very reminiscent to a whisky, a molasses is oily, vegetal. On aeration, the molasses is really dark with a help of resinous wood, still charred with cocoa, leather, cream toffee, burnt sugar.Some tobacco is also here...Well the notes are nicely balanced. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is very fruity at first, with tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, coconut, dried fruits like apricots and ripe red fruits with cherry, quickly turns to syrupy, smoky and spicy charred wood with creamy nougat, caramel, nuts, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, as the fruits become candied.The molasses is flowery at first, becomes quickly darker with herbal, tobacco and black tea notes, there is a help from wood with its toastedness, leather, coffee, bacon/meaty touch...Delicious.With peaches, raisins, prunes joining the show, we think of a tasty, thick marmelade. 8,7:The finish is long, thick and syrupy, with all these pleasant notes from the palate, dry and a bit tannic, peat joins the game...Top rum, 😋... Interesting rum with a well noticeable Whiskey note. The combination of various notes, the ABV and Barrel is a great adventure. Btw the barrel and ABV is integrated very well!

Delicious Panama rum with an interesting whisky note. Creamy on the palate with burnt sugar and lots of cocoa notes. A rather alcoholic side emerges on the finish. Nevertheless, a nice rum for a cozy evening. After a little breathing, the (slightly smoky) whisky finish becomes more and more dominant.
