Great blend of 2x 23-year-old Nicaragua and 18-year-old Venezuela rum! Surprisingly round and yet relatively complex blend. Alcohol content is perfectly chosen to perform well both neat and in drinks like Manhattan, El Rey, old fashioned etc. Finally something good again from the house of Rum Artesanal after a long time! Price-performance for about 60€ absolutely fair!

A very harmonious Spanish blend with high-quality, very old components. I really like the contrast with the 1st Seamaster. I'm curious to see how the series will develop in the future. Very fair price-performance ratio. Ideal for beginners.

70 points. Round, fruity with a little spice and wood and a touch of herbs. A decent entry level rum for beginners who don’t want to spend too much on their first bottles but not something that I need in my spirits shelf.

Tasted as part of the RA online tasting for the RumX lottery 06/2023. Surprisingly weak and thin on the nose, round but somewhat musty on the palate. Unsweetened. A good, honest beginner's rum.

RumX Community Tasting with Rum Artesanal for the Tasting Lottery June 2023: Straightforward Spanish blend. Vanilla, subtle dried fruit, caramel, spices and wood. Pleasant and very drinkable, an exciting addition to the first Seamaster blend, which takes a very different direction.

#4191 This one is more well rounded than the older Seamaster. Fruity with nice balanced spices and wood. There is a nice herbal note hidden in there as well. The empty glass has some herbs, light chocolate and coffee.

The taste is very greedy, like a fruity and milky candy, with cherries or strawberries. The peach takes me to more golden flavors as I move towards vanilla, coconut milk and sweet caramel. Then I find our fuller, more tropical and exotic fruitiness, which even gives me a touch of copper. The finish is pastry-like, caressed by almond milk and exotic stewed fruits. I would like to express my gratitude to Rum Artesanal for the flavor sets 🙏🏻

RumX Lottery June 23, online RA tasting. The new Seamaster, not a reissue of the old one, but a completely different blend. Two old “Spaniards,” one 23yo, the other 18yo, mixed 50/50 and diluted to 49%. You can definitely drink this neat. Nose: spicy-fruity, sweetish-woody. The mature age brings out a lot. Vanilla and coconut remind of Belize, plus apricot and cream toffee. Feels pleasantly chocolaty with a hint of licorice. Very pleasant. 8.0 Palate: spicy-sweet start. Anise at the beginning, then it gets woodier, vanilla and toffee come in, again some licorice. Intense coconut, herbal at the back… a bit weaker than the nose, which is also due to the dilution. 7.8 Overall a softer, pleasant entry-level blend.

The representative of this line is unfortunately a bit flatter. Hardly any reactions on the nose, on the palate and tongue it comes stronger, woodier than expected. Quite okay, nice but not particularly exciting.

Simple, tasty Spanish blend. Flor de Cana but a bit more exciting. Good as a relaxed sipper but not particularly exciting. Good value for money and something that both beginners and advanced can enjoy together.

Surprisingly weak and somewhat nondescript on the nose. But very pleasant and nicely drinkable on the palate. Not too complex though, in my opinion ideal for beginners.

Won this in the june lottery of RumX. Hee hee! Pretty cool set of Rum Artesanal. Nose: Like a good Spanish style rum. Caramel. Vanilla. Bourbon/American oak. Nothing outstanding but nice enough. Just a whiff of thyme/herbal-coughing syrop. Taste: more of the same. A tad sharp but that's okay. Roasted coconut. Lots of American Oak/Bourbon too. All in all not an unpleasant example of Spanish rum spirit. Unsweetened. A good gateway rum. The ABV gives it's quality a nice kick.

Great blend, perfect for mixing. For me a great rum to start with. But honestly also not to be underestimated on its own. Really good stuff. Can also imagine it very well combined with raisins for baking.
