#4021 This is a rum in the more expensive range and I think the price is slightly off. A nice rum with fruits and wood as well ans nice spices. ABV is well integrated and I like the licorice note in the profile. The empty glass is more intense on the licorice and wood after a while.

Tempting smell, but the taste can not quite keep up. Although nice oily texture, but also somehow one-dimensional and somewhat biting. For the average, what the rum offers taste, unfortunately too expensive.

Ein guter Rum, aber wie die meisten von Gunnar (danke dafür) ziemlich intensiv im Geschmack. Nicht meine Lieblingsrums, aber trotzdem oj, holzig in der Nase und im Gaumen und auch ziemlich intensiv, aber trotzdem lecker. Hätte ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet.

Naja… wirklich überzeugend finde ich diese Abfüllung nicht. Es fehlt hier eindeutig die Komplexität. Kann die Nase noch halbwegs überzeugen, verliert er am Gaumen. Holzig- und Bitterkeit überwiegen. Frucht und Gewürze sind zwar vorhanden, verlieren aber gegenüber dem Holz. Schade

An der Nase erstmal ganz angenehm, etwas Holz, bisschen Frucht, leichte Süße, Kräuter Am Gaumen kann er dann nicht ganz überzeugen. Leichte Süße, getrocknete Früchte, Vanille, viele Holz Noten, Lakritze und wieder Kräuter. Hab mich bei der erneuten Verkostung für 8.0 anstatt 8.2 entschieden.

Verkostet gegen den Rum Nation PM 2001, 18 yo rx4912 Der hier ist eher pflanzlich mit Kräutern, Apfel und Lakritze und der Rum Nation eher fruchtig mit Birne und Anis. Reifegrad ist beim SBS schöner … für mich können PMs eigentlich nicht lange genug im Fass liegen

Somehow, the nose on a first impression is much on the meaty and vegetable side. Nothing what I like of rum. No fruits, no caramel, no wood and leather. In its kind complex still. Palate? Flat, boring, uninspiring. Finish? Finish? Just not there. A rum without a finish. This is not a PM.

An sich kein schlechter Rum, der einiges mitbringt beim ersten Schluck. Aber leider nur kurz am Anfang. Dann wirkt er sehr eindimensional und dünn und verschwindet sehr schnell im Abgang als ob er nie dagewesen wäre. Für mich eine enttäuschende Abfüllung.
