This young Privateer single cask leans full-on bourbon style: vanilla, milk chocolate, cream toffee and cookie, with a creamy body one member likens to Zacapa. At 57.8% the alcohol never quite tucks in, and the finish drops off fast. Several tasters call it a good American sipper, just not a thriller.

08/05/26: Road Rummers S09T05 @ TastToe: No changes. 08/02/25: Tasted @ Stijn's place: Easy American sipping rum with typical notes like vanilla, chocolate and cookies. Bourbon style. I wish the alcohol was integrated a little bit better. Nothing remarkable or spectacular.

Powerful, young single cask rum from American white oak. On the nose vanilla, caramel, wood and light fruit. On the palate intense, spicy and dry, with present oak and some sharpness from the high alcohol content. Simply awesome, you can really dive into it. Unfortunately way too short finish. Would have liked to have more of it!

An alternative for lovers of rum from Barbados.alcohol could be better integrated, but can be sippen easy. Reminds me a bit of children's bars and creamy dessert with its vanilla and chocolate notes.An honest, although not exciting rum.

From the opening of the sample, alcohol is really too present. Afterwards, the nose becomes really roasted, almost pastry-like, but after a good hour in the glass, the alcohol returns, it reminded me of Flor de Caña 12 years 😒 Otherwise, the rest is in the same register. You can feel there's quality, but something is missing, or something is too much...? Apparently first quality molasses and new cask well used.
