One taster called it "rum alla vecchia maniera" — old-school, and lethal with friends and a cigar. That fits: a 56% Marie-Galante agricole where fresh cane and grassy vegetal notes meet real wood and spice, with honey and vanilla softening the heat. Tropical fruit and citrus sit up front, oak, chocolate and licorice on the long finish. A cane-forward sipper for people who like some fire.

A very intense Bielle! You can feel the quality of the sugarcane used along with the vegetal part that characterizes this distillery! A pleasant citrus part integrates perfectly with the barrel and makes it very balanced! It also has a very pronounced sweet note of honey and syrup that makes you want to drink it!

10.02.2018 Having a great tasting at work with nice colleagues. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, roasted, sugarcane, floral, light smoke, fruity, spice. Palate Light, wood, light roasted, naturally sweet, floral, sugarcane, faint honey. Finish Long, oily, wood, licorice, dried fruit.

Very nice Bielle. On the nose, a great freshness (after eight, anyone?), but also sweet side with honey and caramel. Drinking, the palate is overcome by wood and spices, with some chocolate notes that balance the freshness. Honey is there too and will be lasting in the ending, pretty long

Color: Bright orange-brown Smell: Intense, fresh, fruity and alcoholic. Aromas of cotton candy, vanilla and caramel. Very ripe dragonfruit, lychee, pear and dried apple. Taste: Fresh, spicy and alcoholic, sweet with vanilla in the mouth. When swallowing spicy, sharp and fruity. Wood, smoke, ash, grass and straw. Finish: Long Spicy, fruity, sweet and delicious. 87 points
