My RumRatings review from 6 years ago: Back then I bought all the cask strengths from Artesano in 50cl bottles and it was my entry into cask strength and will always have a soft spot with me. Here is a convinced Artesano fanboy 👍😎 The golden yellow rum should get a few minutes of air. On the nose it has a mild sweetness. Vanilla and oak are recognizable. Slightly with molasses tones, the rum remains mysterious at first. On the palate the rum is incredibly warm. Wrapped in warmth, sweet fruity vanilla notes with a slight wood note come to the fore. The virgin cask is present and cradles the Panama rum in a soft bed of fresh spicy aromas. The finish is long and accompanied by woody cask notes that linger. The Artesano is intense and for me has a perfect mix of the world of dry and sweet rums. There is something for everyone here without it becoming intrusive in any direction.

The nose promises more than the mouth gets. Nice play between wood, toasted aromas and spiciness in the finish.
