Because my wife is from Japan she likes to bring home som new rums when she finds them. This particular one is pretty fresh and once rested pretty nice.

Super cheap booze smell here. Paint varnish or nail polish remover. Flavour in mouth is a little better, with some oak and sharp tin. Definitely more of a cachaca type feel here. Light astringency in the finish.

Read full review →In the end I think I will go for a tie. I enjoyed trying them both and have continued to enjoy them both at thome. They are very interesting spirits. I'd be very keen to see what they can do with an aged spirit. Theres is a lot of flavour...
