A silky, smooth, tasty Caroni. A real treat for the taste buds. A little muskiness that reminds me of Neisson on the nose. Excellent! A finish of metallic, tropical fruit and rubber ❤

My first Caroni. It's woody, fruity and sweet. It's hard to believe it's over 62°. The profile changes completely on tasting. Now I understand what makes these rums so special. It's woody and heavy. On retro-olfaction, there are hints of tar in the mouth and the whole thing ends in a strange bitterness. It's disconcerting.2nd tasting, it's even richer. It seems sweeter. I can't find the 62° at all, it just slips away. I finish on an almost salty, metallic note. I kind of understand the interest in Caronis. It makes you want to go for even more typical bottles.Edit: 👍Edit2: oxidation has taken its toll on the power of this sample, but it's still very pleasant and typical of what I now know of Caroni. Very good.

👃 les notes d'hydrocarbure contrebalancé avec des notes de fruits tropicaux bien mûrs. 👄 bouche plus légère qu'un "Heavy Caroni" mais typique de la distillerie avec ses notes d'hydrocarbure et de fruits tropicaux mûrs. Finale longue et soyeuse. Un excellent caroni pour, pas trop réduit en alcool et pas trop lourd en bouche.
