Agricole blanc fans who like their cane raw and undiluted — this is bottled straight off the column at 71.8% with no water added. The nose stays surprisingly gentle for the proof: fresh cane, lime, something floral, a little mango. Then the palate lights up — cane explodes, pepper builds, citrus and green notes run through, and it warms you seriously. Try it chilled, as one taster was told at the stand.

#5365 02.06.2025 Running a few samples at home while watching Moonshiners 😊 Nose Fresh, medium intense, fruity, sugarcane, floral, light mango, naturally sweet, light citrus. Palate Medium intense, oily, fresh, sugarcane, floral, light citrus, complex, light mango, medium spicy, light nutts. Finish Long and warm, light citrus, sugarcane, light nutts, floral, oily, medium spicy. Empty glass Floral, light vegetal, faint anise, light mango, faint metallic. Needs to rest for a while to really open up.

Testé lors de Caen Spirits Festival 2025. Une expression très intéressante et intense sur ce brut de fût martiniquais. Très porté sur la canne et les agrumes. Jolie fraîcheur. Belle intensité. A tester frappé comme on me l'a conseillé sur le stand

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, Quick notes and a bit heavy palate, sorry :) Here we have: a true brut de colonne, with hints of cane, citrus fruit and probably a few spices. A rum: with a nice sweetness, which masks the alcohol well at first sight, it looks like you're biting into the cane Finish: mostly peppery - as I recall Great memory!

Description: The Rhum La Favorite Brut de Colonne 2022 is a white agricole rum AOC Martinique, from the 180th harvest of the distillery. It is the 4th edition of the Brut de Colonne range, a rum taken directly from the distillation column and bottled without dilution, thus preserving all its power and authenticity. This rum is made from a blend of distillates from the two Creole columns of the distillery — one in stainless steel and copper, the other in copper — and is made from pure cane juice (vesou) AOC Martinique. With 71.8% alcohol, this bottle is a limited and numbered edition of 5,000 copies, bottled in 2023. The label, illustrated by Martinican artist Lucas Vallerie, highlights the fermentation stage of the cane juice, celebrating both the artisanal know-how of the distillery and the local culture (source: wiskyparis.com, boutique-rhum.com, lacompagniedurhum.com, calais-vin.com) Nose: vegetal, sugarcane, lemon, floral Palate: intense (wow), peppery, lemon, floral Finish: long finish with vegetal and lemon notes Conclusion. Bought for €67.4 at rumstylez. Would I buy another? No, because I already have the Brut de Colonne 2023. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you like Brut de Colonnes or if you can afford it. I find the Brut de Colonne Favorite 2022 and 2023 terribly similar. The difference lies in subtle notes. So take the cheaper of the two if you see a significant discount between them.

La Favorite – Brut 2 Colonnes 2022 – 71.8% A pure cane juice rum distilled in 2022 at La Favorite and bottled as is at 71.8%, limited to 5,000 bottles. And a nice pun from La Favorite: it’s indeed a column brut, but made from a blend of juices from the distillery’s two Creole columns. What could be more logical than calling it Brut 2 Colonnes! A rum that’s quite hard to describe. No dilution, but a long stirring and good aeration in stainless steel tanks before bottling. On the nose, it’s surprisingly indulgent and not aggressive despite the 71.8%: fresh cane, vegetal, lime... On the palate, though, it really hits! 🔥 The cane explodes, seriously warming the palate, with that vegetal and citrus side still present. Impossible to stay indifferent to such a rum… even if it got a bit roughed up during a comparative tasting with the Braud & Quenesson 2025 from the Rock & Rhum friends! 😜
