Infinity Spirits Long Pond The Royal Cane Cask Company Jamaica 2006
"Schmeckt absolut nicht wie ein Long Pond," several tasters wrote — and that's the running theme. Expect ripe banana with a bitter, woody, tea-like edge, some glue and ester, dried fig and honey underneath. One reviewer loved how the oak played against baked banana; others found it dry, bitter and short, more like a low-ester Clarendon than a classic Long Pond.
- Ripe banana note
- Oak vs fruit
- Dried fig, honey

Flavors of ripe banana, salted pistachios, licorice, allspice, Szechuan pepper and fresh ginger. Nuts-and-fruit milk chocolate dominates the finish, which is long and smooth
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Unusual long pond. Surprisingly bitter and woody, yet a nice banana, and honey note with well integrated tannins and a slight saltiness, as well as some dried fig. Had I rather tasted undiluted, which would certainly have more potential. Nevertheless, tasty and harmonious overall.

Tastes absolutely nothing like a Long Pond, but rather has Clarendon DNA (which I like) or it's another Low Ester Jamaican ... possibly a mix-up? Well, in any case not an LP and if a Clarendon, then also rather a medium weak one
Review by Johannes
Flavor-wise, this is never a Long Pond. This astringent, slightly bitter profile with tea notes I know only from Clarendon.

#4113 Not your typical Jamaica, more a light version on my mind. Draws nice and slow moving curtains. Lightly fruity with wood and light glue. Dry and warm on the palate. In the empty glass i can pick up some chocolate and very faint licorice. After a few hours pineapple pops out of the glass.

Nah, friends, the rum is not mine, nor does it seem like an LP to me. It comes rather close to RA's below-average Clarendon from 2007 (RX2803), especially in view of its pungency. If I had to characterize the rum in three words, I would say cheap, bitter, biting. Alas. And believe me, I let the rum breathe for a very long time ...
