26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit Retasting and still like it a lot. ---------------------- #4564 20.01.2024 Relaxing a bit today ☺️ This is a pretty good release. The ABV could have been better integrated, but resting it for a good 30+ minutes will do it good. Nice fruity profile overall and the nose is intense with some ester and light marzipan. The palate is intense and spicy with nice fruit and light esters. The finish is long and warm with nice fruits. The empty glass has some light caramel and faint nutts.

Good sipper ... LROK gene still to feel.... nevertheless, the storage in the Oloroso barrel is too much for me personally .It does not destroy the rum completely but predominates yet very much .cherry,banana and vanilla arrive in the nose and on the palate ... quite ok but clearly too expensive

Nice easy sipper. The Hampden DNA is noticeable, however the sherry clearly dominates. Fruity and creamy.

Gut. Mir hat der Sherry gefallen, und der Rum war recht lecker. Aber irgendwie hat er mich nicht abgeholt. Und die circa 130 pro Flasche war er mir nicht wert.

Ist schon lecker, Ananas, Ester halt Funk in der Nase. Im Mund dann cremig Honig aber auch Würze und natürlich Alkohl und Esternoten. Ist schönes Zeug keine Frage aber mit etwas zu Platt insbesondere zu dem Kurs.

Gut zu trinken. Sehr rund und ausgewogen. Hat aber kaum Hampden-Noten geschweige denn sonst wie ausgeprägte Geschmacksnoten. Der Rum lässt einen mit einem angenehmen Gefühl zurück ohne irgendwelche Ecken und Kanten oder irgendwelche Wiedererkennungsmerkmale zu haben. Viel mehr darf man nach 2 Jahren kontinentaler Lagerung auch nicht erwarten. Insofern ein gutes Produkt. Woher dann der aufgerufene Messepreis von 135€ kommt, ist mir allerdings schleierhaft. So schön ist die Eule auch nicht.

Verkostet auf der Pueblo del Ron Nürnberg 2024. Das Gespräch mit den Jungs von Romdeluxe hat leider viel mehr Spaß gemacht, als der Rum selbst. Kann man trinken muss man aber nicht. Ist o.k., aber soviel Geld würde ich dafür nicht ausgeb.

Riechen tut er wunderbar nach hampden funky flavour, aber geschmacklich mir zu alkoholisch und pfeffrig.
