Oak and caramel mostly. Light banana cream. Pours golden. While the smell isn't too potent, it really takes off in the mouth. Fermented banana turns overdrive. Some orange peel, white pepper. The burn sticks for a minute then ends dry on the tongue. Plum as well. Long finish. Sample split thanks to xamsx.

This is a solid Jamaican rum representation. It doesn’t blow you away, but it is perfectly good and delicious. I definitely pick up more fruity funk notes and hardly any industrial notes. This is different than a Hampden high ester rum. This rum succeeds in being a well rounded Jamaican rum representation. I would buy it again for the right price.

(#76) Never a sipper because it feels like you're mugging your tastebuds but really stands out in cocktails by bringing the rum to the front and centre, giving you a bit of funk and real taste without the booze.
