Most helpful positive review
The buttery nose still melts on the tongue. Beautiful lemon in an elegant, floral bed makes the palate dance. In the finish, somewhat surprisingly, comes the death (very musty) but I like the flavor play.

#6760 07.05.2026 Picked up the wife and now it is time for a few more samples. Watching House of David on Amazon Prime. Pretty decent bottling with an OK price tag in my mind. A minty rum with nice salty olive, licorice, light smoke, mineral and fruits.

It stinks :-) I'm an absolute Clairin fanatic, but this one crossed the line a little. A little gamy, meaty and musty on the nose, but also typically Clairin. On the tongue, the expected Clairin and (here it comes) a slight smoky note in the topping. Can, but doesn't have to. One of the weaker Clairins.

It took me some time to appreciate this one and feel the Caroni's cask influence! Anyway i prefer the Raw material than those hyped Clairins!

Weirdly less "Caroni" than the 19m old, there's not much of it there. Very fresh Agricole. Good..like most Clairins. Very drinkable. All layers are subtle except the grassy freshness.
