27.11.2025 Relaxing with an older sample while watching Hellboy. ------------- A pretty well balanced rum with a nice warm punch. Nice wood and ABV integration and rather light on the fruit. Super long and nice finish an absolute must try 😊

for me a bit too much tannins, too medicinal, and barrel influence and overall alcohol relatively strong and not perfectly integrated. Fruit is missing in the taste.

The last Chairman's in my tasting round. The nose is barely perceptible to me : caramel and vanilla and a touch of delicate yellowish fruit. On the palate it spreads creamy soft with some caramel, vegetal flavors, tannin and some wood, being relatively mild. The finish is dominated by licorice, wood and some tannin, but the whole is very balanced. A good Chairman's, but does not belong to the top.

Spontaneously opened by Tobi at the Scheuenfest. From my patchy memory, I found this one really good. As far as I know, the alcohol was also pretty well integrated. But I'll probably have to taste it again in peace.

Beautiful complexity with wood, spices, citric aromas, wood, tea, roasted notes as well as caramel and vanilla. However, it could have a little more freshness for my taste.

Woody aromas on the nose. Little fruit, slightly earthy, floral. On the palate slightly floral, cold black tea, spicy-smoky and wood. Long dry and spicy aftertaste. Great bottling from this distillery.

It lingers long. The alcohol is super well integrated. Overall, this is a great product. It doesn't burn or scratch and tastes super intense. Again, I have my beloved black tea notes that I like so much. Definitely one to try.

Woody nose. I detect citrus and light hints of chocolate. The rum immediately takes over the whole palate. It's warm and spicy. Still woody. Very dry. A bit more gourmandise on the finish. Unfortunately, not really my thing. A bit like tasting an old Bellevue from Guadeloupe which is not my thing at all.

In St. Lucia they are obviously incapable of distilling bad rum. Great, very complex JDI & V profile that wonderfully combines the advantages of the two stills.
