8:On the nose the light and fruity notes share the stage with a subtly pastry profile. The fruit salad in syrup pairs with tender, fresh almond milk. The coconut is here, as the vanilla comes in. Aeration brings us a mineral and coppery, roasted notes, varnish with notes of exotic fruit pastes, orange peel, peaches with some acidity of passion fruit or tangy berries and nice lime peel.The wood is toasted with nuts, dried fruits, caramel and sweet spices.When well rested, flowery notes could be noticed...as well musty/ashy. 7,8:On the palate, this rum is as on the nose, balanced, with a very gourmet american oak, vanilla and toasted coconut. Then come some sweet spices, bourbon touch with a light smoke, caramel, lime peel and some roastedness.This comes out with a minimal bitterness and dryness. 7,5:The finish is medium length, dry with toasted wood, tangy exotic fruits, a bit metallic. I expected more of this one. The only othe St. Lucia i had before was the Plantation Vintage 2003, that one was full of flavors and complex. This one is probably too young, it's missing complexity and the finish is very short.

Yeaaaah Baby, the best Rum today. Schmeckt auf jeden Fall leicht fruchtig eigentlich nicht so mein Geschmack, aber hier wird dieser voll getroffen. Für mich ein absoluter top Rum, den ich nur empfehlen kann.
