I don't think it's as bad as it was rated. It's quite alcoholic, as you can imagine at 80%, but you can still detect some caramel and a few herbs. Better than expected :)

All this rum can be used for is a rum grogg, punch or baking.

Not meant to be drunk, I think. Impressive alcohol, both on the nose and in the mouth. The liquid seems to evaporate before reaching the stomach. Taste not very good, but not downright bad either. Excellent for pastry, though.

There is little to say...I didn't even know it was categorized as rum!
Review by Luuzi
Not drinkable, only suitable for baking or Feuerzangenbowle.

Top notch for baking, useless for anything else. But you have to give it credit for the fact that it doesn't really want to be anything more than a baking ingredient.

Unfortunately, that really isn't possible.

Good for tea

It is not intended for pure enjoyment. Rather for baking or mixing. However, I think I recognize a trace of Hampden (DOK?). Oh, and the color is already unnatural with a red tinge!
Review by Golden Hind
An experience. - Definitely made with baking intentions in mind.

Emptied a bottle of this when in Kitzbuhl for skiing vacation as a teenager. It’s only useable as a mixer when your going party, party, party and doesn’t care what you’re drinking.

Not suitable for pure enjoyment, but quite good for a Christmas punch ;-)

Was pretty tipsy when I tried this last night, did not like it at all, it's just a big mouthful of alcaholic pva glue. Sometimes glue is good like in hampden but certainly not here. Very hot on the palate, it seems to just evaporate in the mouth before It can be swallowed. I would drink Bundy yellow label neat before this.

This was the most physically painful rum to drink I've ever encountered. The face I made upon the first sip reminded me of the first time I drank alcohol. Truly unenjoyable, super strong and the opposite of what you'd want in a rum. Plus points for the complexity, 15 minutes after I can still taste all the "unenjoyableness" of it.
