Sipping this neat is rough going — members mostly taste neutral alcohol with a musty, medicinal edge and very little else. One taster clocks "expired paracetamol and grandma's old cologne"; others find it sharp, bitter and soapy with a fleeting finish. It's an old-school Batavia Arrak blend, more curiosity than pour, and the room here is nearly unanimous that it's a struggle.

3,2:On the nose, it is alcoholic, soapy, vegetal with mushrooms, green peppers, floral, sweet, spicy, fruity with green, citrus fruits. 2,5:,On the palate, the attack is alcoholic, hot, medicinal, synthetic, bitter, slightly pungent, fruity with citrus fruits, earthy, vegetal, sweet and smoky, with smo confectionery, a bit astringent. 2,1:The finish is short, alcoholic, medicinal, hot, metallic, bitter, slightly vegetal, smoky, a bit fruity, there are hints of confectionery.

Since the tasting didn't work for me yesterday because I couldn't get into Zoom, I'm making it up now. This stuff is some of the worst I've ever had to drink. Simply alcoholic.

Once again an outstanding tasting that Artur organized superbly. Many thanks for the introduction to the world of Arra(c)ks. The blends are a real challenge for the taste buds. But I was really surprised by this BASF bottling. My deepest respect for the time and effort that is always put into it. It's a real honor to be able to attend such tastings again and again.

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. Mostly neutral alcohol, very light pineapple and a hint of mushroom. On the palate, it's the same, but with an unpleasant, medicinal aftertaste. The finish is ultra-short, and once the alcohol is gone, that medicated taste remains. To be forgotten.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 by Artur. An exciting tasting journey with an impressive range of styles and profiles. From smoky to fruity to spicy, everything was represented – partly a bit unbalanced, partly surprisingly round. Especially some bottlings showed a lot of character and depth and stayed in memory. A format that is really fun. Thanks Artur for the opportunity! 😊

Reminds me more of a cheap vodka... hardly any aroma or taste and the nose is very restrained and primarily neutral alcohol. Unfortunately hardly drinkable and definitely nothing I need to drink again 😄

Perfumed, iodine, musty. Extremely short and unpleasant. Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 tasting with Artur all over the place, from really nasty blends to surprisingly good representatives, everything included. Great journey to this spirit completely unknown to me until now.
