Nikis and Arturs Jamaican adventures part 2. First of all, a big thank you again for the chance to have such rarities in the glass. To put it simply, Jamaican rum decades ago was not the rum you know from Jamaica today, but still very interesting to try. These are not really top-notch, but still more than drinkable.

A rum from the series “Niki’s and Artur's Jamaican Adventures Part 2”. A nose of overripe banana, old varnished wood with yellow fruits. On the palate, the aromas are discreet but quite balanced with spices and still the yellow fruits and old varnished wood. You can feel the dilution. The finish is on bitter caramel, spices.

Nikis and Artur's Jamaican Adventures No3. Nose very floral, earthy and edgy. Vanilla caramel citrus fruits even slight esters smells oxidized. Reminds of Clarendon. On the palate clearly more boring... Very light some vanilla, floral, some green pepper, a bit musty. Nose pleasing... palate rather not.

Recognizable as Jamaican. Tastes somewhat like a spicy Appleton, but not from the Pot Still. Rather much smoother and softer like from the Column Still. At the back again molasses/sugar color taste that colored rums unfortunately have.

Fresh nose with plenty of citrus fruits. On the palate also tropical fruits, including heavy yellow fruits, some wood, also hints of spice. For the drinking strength even with quite decent complexity, but overall still a bit restrained.

Interesting rarity, somewhat reminiscent of today's watered-down Worthy Park. Very difficult to describe on the palate. A bit of banana lingers but otherwise not much comes through. The finish is also very short.
