Long Pond with a very strong cask influence (orange wine), which in this case fits. From nose to finish, young wood and esters are present. Also spices and very subtle fruit notes. Not a knockout, but not bad either. Great value for money.

Hahaha, what did I mess up here? :) Anyway, a pretty tasty rum, typically Jamaican I would say. Esters and tropical fruits make it a delicious rum. I think it’s great.

8,4:On the nose, esters, solvents, some rubber, roasted wood with caramel, sweet, vanilla, orange peel, dried fruits, metallic patina, tobacco, bump into our nosetrils, barrel impact is strong. On aeration, orange and tropical fruits are obvious, fermented, roasted notes like nuts, cocoa arise, baking spices and cardboard hints. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is medicinal with esters and solvents, slightly metallic, fruity with red, citrus fruits like orange peel, tropical like mango, pineapple and banana, dried with apricots, raisins, on oxidation even hints of green fruits.The wood is roasted, sweet with caramel, nuts, burnt sugar, with air burnt, charred, smoky, spicy with vanilla, allspice, bourbon barrel impact is noticable, the molasses is thick, dark with licorice and black tea. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry and tannic, with toasted oak, spicy, smoky, fruity with dried and tropical fruits, plums..

A very exciting rum and also an unusual profile for a Long Pond. Dark notes with spices, wood, and tobacco with a slight sweetness. The finish then takes a twist into bitterness with a note of orange peel. As a despiser of bitter orange marmalade, I'm unfortunately out here. But thank you for this sample!

I quite like the nose and I think the tropical maturation comes through well. Before tasting, I didn't know about the orange wine finish and I find it — fortunately — not particularly dominant. The palate simply lacks a little power and complexity here.

This is a long pond I find complicated to rate. It is a nice melange of intense cask finish. It is at times and in the End.very dominant. But it works, I can so clearly see this as a cigar companion. And It is not bad at all
