#4093 Yesterday it was finally time to give this second piece of history I got from my friend. It's always hard to score history and I think most of the time they're scored a bit from the positive side. I was told that the fill level of the bottle was below the neck when they opened it and that could be one of the reasons for the lightness the profile has. A wonderful dark rum with fruit and spices. There is also nice wood in there and the empty glass had stronger chocolate and some light vegetal notes.

No rum is more imitated than Jamaican rum. This is the home of funk, the fruity, overripe-banana intensity that drinkers call hogo, made in the biggest pot stills outside Irish whiskey. When the rest of the Caribbean moved to the column still, Jamaica kept the pot still as its house style, and that stubbornness is exactly why its rum is so prized today.
