Nice blend from the Ricci family. Ester is the standout feature for me here. But you can also recognize pineapple and mango, as well as marzipan and vanilla. On the nose, there’s also some pastry/cookies.

Sooo mild and sweet taste .. Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery, which besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks in the scent of yellow tropical fruit - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

Nose: the DOK dominates but the character of the rum from Panama is also noticeable. Overall, however, quite restrained. Palate: Panama is clearly more present here and not much of the DOK is noticeable. The alcohol is not optimally integrated. In the finish, the fruitiness of the Hampden comes through again very nicely. Nice interplay between the two rums! A very successful blend. Unfortunately, the alcohol is quite present, otherwise more than 9 points would be possible.

Gelungener Blend - der DOK wird natürlich gezähmt, bekommt aber durch die süssen Noten des spanischen Stils einen gelungenen Gegenpol, der anders als die Sherry-Finishs ohne die schweren Fruchtnoten auskommt. Tolle Ergänzung des High-Ester-Spektrums, kleiner Geheimtipp.

Blind, of course, a Hampden with high esters. Nevertheless, the beautiful sweetness of the Panama comes through, which softens the doc somewhat. But the typical ester notes in the foreground with pineapple and mango are great.

Tasted with RF2023, so tasting incomplete. Very aromatic right from the nose! The DOK is clearly present, with ripe tropical fruit solvents, and the panama adds a touch of caramelized pastry. Can't wait to taste it and take the time to appreciate it.

Blend of rums from Jamaica and Panama. On the nose: Jamaican rum notes. Almost like a sherry cask finish notes. Pineapple, Mango and vanilla. Panama rum softens the palate, there is not much of those ester and glue notes. Taste: Pineapple, mango notes dominate the profile. Quite alcoholic. Then you get more sweeter notes like vanilla notes first and pastry notes. Finish: Roasted notes, pineapple notes and its sweet in the beginning. Then it changes to slightly herbal and it has a little bit of black tea notes in the end. I think its a good blend. Jamaican rum dominates but Panama softens the palate and brings good notes to the mix aswell.
