A young Martinique rum easy to handle, with a nose of exotic fruits, sugarcane, flowers, young wood and soft spices. A simple but effective profile. Sugarcane and spicy notes cross on the palate, with light wood and dried fruits. It has a syrupy texture that enhances the rum's indulgence. It's not the most complex profile, but it's very approachable. The finish, of decent length, returns to more agricultural notes, on the vegetal, floral and herbal side. The fruitiness and wood support the profile, which struggles to go beyond the sugarcane. A rum that wants to be simple and basic, but is thus quite expensive for its positioning.

Tasted at RhumFest 2023, brief tasting... Nice little amber agricole on dried fruits, mild spices and caramel.
