Foursquare fans who want the classic house profile at full strength will feel right at home here. Sixteen years in ex-bourbon oak give roasted coconut, buttered caramel on toast, milk chocolate and boozy dried fruit, with cinnamon and a touch of ginger. At 57% the nose is beautifully warm and integrated; several tasters find the palate runs a bit hotter. Tasty and generous, if familiar.

#6904 10.06.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after picking up my wife from work. Watching the TV series Evil Lives Here on HBO. To me a pretty good Foursquare with a very good price tag. Nice and fruity profile with coffee, light salt, spice and light roated wood with some pastries.

A classic and warm Foursquare. From the start, the roundness of the nose settles on buttery caramel on its slightly toasted slice of bread, accompanied by milk chocolate and candied dried fruits. The roasted coconut is well present. A note of sawdust like in a sawmill still in operation. On the palate, immediately the bourbon cask develops a beautiful toasted and caramelized woodiness, cinnamon, vanilla too, and a hint of ginger passing by. We find the chocolate milk and the dried fruits in alcohol. It's indulgent and generous. A spicy finish, followed by scents of leather armchair by the fireside and an already opened cigar box. Alcohol very well integrated on the nose, a bit less so on the palate. A beautiful 16-year-old single cask well put together. PS: after oxidation and opening for several months, still this very beautiful combination of cocoa/chocolate/coconut/caramel very indulgent. On sale around 80-90€, it's an excellent value for money. PS2: quite a bit of alcohol on the palate after all despite the bottle being open for 1 year.

A good representative of Foursquare selected by the Ricci Family.. The nose is quite standard in what is pleasant in this distillery: lots of coconut, quite a bit of spices and wood, just the right amount of dried fruits. The palate confirms that the 16 years aging left a good cask imprint in the rum. Again no surprise with lots of coconut chips, vanilla and winter spices. A standard but a bit expensive.
