#6321 09.02.2026 This is a sample I brought home from Rhe Village because I had to drive home on Sunday. This rum has a very nice and warm palate with a dry touch to it. Abb is well integrated and there is not too much wood and tannins in the profile. Just enough to make it feel a bit old. Overall balance is good but I think the price tag is a bit high.

Einladende Nase nach Karamell, Trockenfrüchten, cola und Melassesirup, Bleistiftspänen und diversen Gewürzen. Am Gaumen dann ungewöhnlich säuerlich und leicht chemisch, dazu Rosine, Leder, dunkle Schokolade, etwas dunkles Karamell, Schwefel - was für Madeira sehr typisch ist - sowie kandiertes Obst und viel Holz. Besser wie der White Port cask aber diese Säure ist leider sehr störend für mich. Für Fans von Madeira, Schwefel Noten und die eine leichte Säure nicht stört aber sicherlich einen Versuch wert.
