#5337 19.11.2023 Enjoying this nice sample that was a birthday present to myself from myself. Old tasting that I have forgotten to add, luckily I still have everything on paper. I should have bought a bottle back then seeing the price now. Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, faint smoke, light varnish, light coconut, spice, pineapple. Palate Oily, medium intense, balanced, wood, light roasted, light cherry, faint coffee, light banana, spice, fruity, light caramel. Finish Long, wood, fruits, faint floral, faint coffee, pineapple, light caramel. Note Incredible balance of ABV and wood. Especially the wood is a surprise because I'd expected a very woody Palate and finish.
A dream of a rum! Jamaica is clearly recognizable from start to finish, but has dirty notes, especially on the palate. The barrel influence is strong, but does not mask the fruit and esters. Alcohol perfectly integrated! An absolute must-taste, especially for lovers of Jamaican rums!
Auto-translatedUnfortunately for me, this is right up my alley. Ester and glue, taninnes and pineapples, tropical fruit. On the palate wood and Ananas..very tamed ester. Powerful rum that finishes with old ash and nice bitter notes. This is strong and complex. I love it
Bottle share during FRS x RRS in Jamaica, 2023. Bottle 113 of 183 was sipped. Rested for 3.5 hours prior to sipping. Warm woody roasted aroma. Smoky, oaky, orange peel taste with tropical fruit taking a backseat. Moderate alcohol punch. Exceptionally long finish of tobacco and leather. Cloudy residue remained in glass.
