This Indonesian arrack hits with iodine, peaches in syrup, bacon and burnt wood, plus a salty, vegetal edge of red bell pepper. One taster called it a "peach bomb as a Punsch," another flagged synthetic, candied notes. Intense and divisive — barely reads as rum at first sip.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 von Artur. Eine spannende Tasting-Reise mit einer beeindruckenden Bandbreite an Stilen und Profilen. Von rauchig über fruchtig bis würzig war alles vertreten – teils etwas unausgewogen, teils überraschend rund. Besonders einige Abfüllungen zeigten viel Charakter und Tiefe und blieben im Gedächtnis. Ein Format, das richtig Spaß macht. Danke Artur für die Gelegenheit! 😊

Arrack 2.0 @Artur: Salzig, Olive, Jod, Pfirsich, etwas muffig. Viel Körper, Alkohol gut eingebunden. Erinnert mich etwas an einen Navy Blend.

Wieder einmal ein überragendes Tasting das Artur super organisiert hat. Vielen Dank in die Einführung in die Welt des Arra(c)ks. Die Verschnitte sind schon eine wahre Herausforderung an die Geschmacksnerven. Wirklich überrascht hat mich aber diese BASF Abfüllung. Meinen tiefsten Respekt für die Zeit und Mühe die dort immer wieder reingesteckt wird. Eine wirkliche Ehre immer wieder bei solchen Tastings dabei sein zu dürfen.

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. Des esters au nez mais plutôt doux, de l’acidité, des fruits tropicaux, des fruits jaunes et de la pomme. Des fruits aussi en bouche, noix de coco et fruits jaunes, de la pêche en sirop. La finale est à la fois amère et sucrée.

Pfirsich & Funk. Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 Tasting mit Artur einmal quer durch, von richtig fiesem Verschnitt bis zu erstaunlich guten Vertretern alles dabei. Tolle Reise zu dieser mir bis dato komplett unbekannten Spirituose.

Super ungewöhnlich. Die Nase erinnert mich an einen eher schlechten Barbados Rum mit Schokolade, Kokos, Jod Salbe und Speck. Geschmacklich dann wieder leichte Sirup Noten leider, ergänzt von super künstlichem Krümel Pfirsich Eistee mit etwas Jod und Heftpflaster. Schwierig und definitiv nicht als arrack sofort zu erkennen😄
