4,8;On the nose, there are tropical fruits, pears, alcoholic, smoky with BBQ and bacon, peppery, vegetal with green peppers, grassy, saffran, a bit floral, soapy. 1,8:On the palate, the attack is alcoholic, bitter, metallic, soapy, slightly pungent, sweet, smoky and spicy, fruity with apples. 1,5:The finish is short, thin, alcoholic, metallic.

One more and then that's enough for today. This Arrack is also not particularly great. Again very alcoholic and sharp. In the nose I can still detect some vanilla. On the palate still quite metallic.

Once again an outstanding tasting superbly organized by Artur. Many thanks for the introduction to the world of Arra(c)ks. The blends are truly a challenge for the taste buds. But what really surprised me was this BASF bottling. My deepest respect for the time and effort that is repeatedly put into it. A real honor to be able to participate in such tastings again and again.

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. A spicy nose with pepper, smoke and tropical fruit, but also a buttery sweetness. The palate is diluted and the alcohol is present. Sour apple, wood, smoke and very few aromas. The finish is short, marked by neutral alcohol. This arrack has the best nose of the first 4, but the palate is very weak, very close to neutral alcohol.

The nose finally promises Batavia Arrack with green pepper, saffron, vanilla and a bit of smoke. Unfortunately, the blend then comes through very dominant in taste, leaving hardly any aroma and primarily tasting like neutral alcohol and very sharp-edged... A pity.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 by Artur. An exciting tasting journey with an impressive range of styles and profiles. From smoky to fruity to spicy, everything was represented – sometimes a bit unbalanced, sometimes surprisingly round. Especially some bottlings showed a lot of character and depth and stayed in memory. A format that is really fun. Thanks Artur for the opportunity! 😊

Yuck, no way. Really nasty at the back. Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 tasting with Artur all over the place, from really nasty blends to surprisingly good representatives, everything included. Great journey to this spirit that was completely unknown to me until now.

Faint pear on the nose, slightly creamy and buttery. A small hint of smoke lingers as well. Unfortunately, the taste reminds me of a powdery perfume past its prime. A shame, because the ferment notes are there, but long faded.
