Weinbrennerei Rouette & Cie. GmbH Original Batavia Arrac
Burnt rubber, scorched plastic and solvent — that's the opening, and it does not let up. This Indonesian molasses arrack (58%) is fermented, dirty and medicinal, with smoke, meat and BBQ on the palate. One taster pinned it as "dirty, smokey and intensive." Even fans call it a sipper you have to think hard about, not something you drink for pleasure.
- Wildly original
- Real smoke

Dirty, smokey and intensive. Plastic and solvent notes. Wired and interesting stuff.

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. An unpleasant, extreme nose of chemicals and sugar, strawberry candy and bitterness, wood and ferment, burnt tires. The palate is also very unpleasant, with additional smoky peat and bitterness. The burnt-tire aspect is more pronounced than on the nose. The finish is long, but with the same aroma. I find it very unpleasant, but I'll raise the score one point for its super originality.
