Very cool rum from savanna! Nose: Fruits lightly soaked in nail polish/varnish🥃🥃Typical savanna notes mixed with butterscotch, pastries and licorice. Mouth: A width range a fruits with hints of varnish/glue/menthol. Lovely😍 The alcohol and barrel is integrated very well. The finish is quite long woody, mentholy with a dark choclatw flakes and a drop of fluid licorice

Not a Grand Arôme, but almost. Delicious stuff. Must breathe long!

Quick update: I normally don’t do this but this thing makes such an incredibly good rum sour that I’m attaching the recipe here: Rum Sour 6 cl this rum 2.25 cl lemon juice 2.25 cl dark sugar syrup 1/2 egg white 2-3 dashes angostura bitters Reverse shake and strain to preferred glass. Tried a daiquiri with it too and its profile is just not built for that. Seriously, try a rum sour with this one. Main review: Nose has cola, vanilla, and butterscotch. This rum greatly benefits from the glass sitting in the sun for a few minutes to release all the flavors. Palate actually delivers on the cola and vanilla while adding some cherry. There is something else very delicate in there almost like heather but it’s very subtle, just out of reach. This is a rum that grows on you greatly. My tastings improved tremendously after decanting the bottle into a carafe and making sure the glass was warmed in the sun for a bit. This is a true tasting rum and you have to really pay attention to get the most out of it. Very glad I did not just have a 3cl sample or I would have completely missed the experience on this one.

Surprisingly good CDI savanna once again for a change at a fair price. Could be a grand arome? Pineapple, strawberry, menthol, marzipan pastry, sour cherry and cherry brandy, as well as bitter orange and some oak and allspice are definitely fun. On the finish it could be a little less astringent and woody bitter but overall really a nice surprise!

Nice robe, shiny. Nose of varnished wood. Aggressive attack but not unpleasant, « nappant » in the mouth, aromas of yellow fruits, very nice. Long discreet finale, pineapple cream type. Very nice

Interesting, fairly green nose, reminiscent of cut grass with hints of varnished wood. Clean attack on the palate. Quite sweet with hints of pineapple. The alcohol could be better integrated for my taste. Discreet but fairly long finish that leaves me with a taste of pineapple.

Ein netter Rum, meines Erachtens mehr aber auch leider nicht. In meiner Erinnerung hatte ich schon weit aus bessere Savannas im Glas. Leider überzeugt mich dieser nicht wirklick. Schön probiert zu haben.
