Best Savanna so far for me. The 19 years great implemented, no stupid barrel finish. Wonderfully balanced and still corners and edges. Super rum, unfortunately very rare and expensive.
Review by Serge
Nice aging with lots of astringency and some bitterness. Dark fruit (plum, prune but also some blackberry), chocolate and wood glue in the background. I really like the wood in the lead here. Thanks Rod for the sample 🙏

Tasted against RX16261. Both very good in their own way, that is: they are quite different, but I like (today) both equally well. While the 19-year-old Traditionnel seems really round, mature and smooth, the young HERR breaks out like a wild foal in several directions, first sweetish-perfumed, then smoky, finally tart-fruity with a tendency to gooseberries. Against the HERR Japan Tribute 1 (RX219), the HERR Japan Tribute 3 is a small light, but shines pleasantly independent due to its wild character with recognition effect. The Traditionnel can score with very well integrated alcohol, the 59% you do not notice at all. Great art!

Nice bottle from Savanna. But is it worth the price? Probably not.

This is a very balanced and pleasant savanna. Delicate fruit aromas on the nose, pronounced caramel, vanilla, barrel and spice aromas on the palate. Red fruits are also subtly recognizable. Medium length with red dried fruits in combination with cask and coffee. I quite like it...something for the evening.

06.11.2021 Another visit to "Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival and once again with special access and many very drunk people both days. Notes. Medium intense rum with nice roasted wood and light fruit. The palate is warm and medium dry with a touch of coffee. The finish is long and warm with some dried fruit.

Nice complexity! I would like to see a little more fruity notes. A little too astringent for me.

Not normally a big fan of old Savannas, I like this one. A woody nose with discreet fruit in the background and a sensation of prunes. On the palate, it's the wood that takes over for me. Spicy, slightly astringent. The wood does, however, allow some fruit to escape in the aftertaste. Rather bitter, coffee-like finish. Rather pleasant.

Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.
