West Indies Plantation Barbados (Château de Bonbonnet) 2005
Well-liked but not a rum anyone here calls unforgettable. Twelve years in bourbon casks then Ferrand cognac finishing gives it vanilla, nutmeg, red fruits and a clear cognac note over dry oak. At 46.9% the alcohol sits well integrated and the finish runs long. One taster found it drier on the palate than the sweet nose promises; another liked it "very good" but no more.

I think this Barbados is very changed by the finish. Otherwise it is very good, with long aftertaste.

Belle couleur claire, nez assez gourmand sur les fruits jaunes, bouche beaucoup plus sèche avec une amertume en fin de bouche. A regoûter parce que derrière la dégustation d’un 55 degrés
