Pusser's Rum Coronation Reserve (2023 UP Spirits Edition)
Sipped neat it drinks like a classic Navy blend: caramel, charred oak, orange peel and dried fruit, with plenty of spice and a warming kick from the 54.5%. A few tasters got vanilla, dark chocolate and tobacco too. Most find it tasty but familiar — one member called it a "very nice rum" that plays it safe rather than surprising you.

How does Pusser's Rum Coronation Reserve (2023 UP Spirits Edition) taste?
Aggregated from 81 community reviews.
Spicy, woody Navy blend, tasty but familiar A well-made, spicy Guyana/Trinidad Navy blend most people enjoy. The recurring gripe: it's a touch flat and the alcohol isn't always fully integrated.

Overall a very nice rum which gives me, right or wrong, a feeling of a genuine rum similar to what was served onboard. It’s a limited edition from Pusser’s that was released to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. It’s made from Pot Still as well as Column Still rum from Guyana and Trinidad that’s aged for a minimum of three years in charred ex-bourbon barrels whereafter it’s bottled at ABV 54,5%.

Free sample with your order. Not bad at all. Caramelly-smoky-woody, in a nice way. Citrus note/orange peel in the background. If I'm offered this at a friend's house or the hotel bar doesn't have anything better... I wouldn't say no.
Review by Michael Schillheim
A classic navy blend that doesn't really surprise on the nose or palate. Caramel, orange peel, woody, spicy, almost a little wintery. A solid navy rum that fits seamlessly into the range of other Pusser's bottlings. The alcohol could be better integrated.

In regards to the coronation in UK. Apparently the same mix of rums as the original navy rums from 1970, and at the same ABV. Sweet and spicy in the nose, and lots of flavor; I got notes of caramel, citrus and hints of dried fruit
Review by w00tAN
Spicy, slightly musty on the nose. Dried fruit in the mouth, very dark, extremely spicy, light tobacco, dark chocolate. Nice spicy rum with a nice alcohol note. Finish with dark chocolate and slight spiciness. Good rum for me but behind the Deptford Yard

Pleasant rum with complex Taste, strong nosing And pleasant finish. I can imagine beeing on the shop And drinking this. Spicy And Woody Taste Is dominant with slight hints of fruits especially citrus.

I'm not sure what to make of this. The nose is very spicy, but dominated by a caraway note that I don't really like. The palate is dominated by molasses, quite dry overall.
Review by Portman
Apart from the untimely occasion for the rum's name, it is a really tasty all-rounder with light and dark dried fruits, sweetness and a little barrel.
Review by Filip Heimerle
Dark fruit, light woodiness and spice and caramel Sharpness and sweetness of spices and pepper in the taste
Review by Lukas Jäger
Something is bothering me here. A bold dry note that makes me think of wine/sherry. It would be interesting to find out whether a part was finished here.
Review by BTHHo 🥃
Smooth fruity taste, with notes of deliciously creamy vanilla and oak.
Review by Gregor
Quite boring on the nose and also on the palate. If there wasn't a pinch of wild cherry at the end.
Review by Vitalii Stupnik
Tobacco, roasted coconut, red fruits and long finish

Of all the Pussers I've tasted, it's probably the least tasty. Christmas spices, light wood, sour taste
Review by Johannes
Not bad, but a little flat. Alcohol could be a little better integrated.
