Franconian Rum Tasting Gang / 2024-04-19: Neisson Straight from the Barrel No. 26 vs. No. 252 vs. Depaz 2002 Barrel 706 Die beiden Neisson-Abfüllungen sind lecker, aber nicht wirklich komplex. Man merkt ihnen die recht kurze Lagerzeit an. Etwas floral, etwas Zitrusfrüchte, butterweich. No. 252 etwas besser als No. 26.

A nose between the Neisson 105 and the 107. The muddiness of the 105, and the butteriness of the 107. Then the same herbaceous, fresh, sugar-cane framework. On the palate, it's the same, but less woody than the 105, and less toasty. The woodiness is rather damp, fresh, vegetal, pastry-like, buttery and slightly spicy. It has the same structure as the other 2 profiles, with a lively mouthfeel at first. But I prefer the 105, which is younger and less expensive.
