Levy Lane Tamosi Original Blended Rum (First Edition)
One taster called it "very nice rum taste like licorice and fruity," and that captures the split personality here: a dark, multi-origin blend where Guyana leads with burnt sugar, black tea and coffee, and an agricole share brings a herbal edge. You get leather, dark chocolate and plum, plus a faint whiff of glue from the pot still. The catch several note: it reads a touch thin and watery on the finish.
The community says- Dark chocolate & leather
- Interesting Guyana blend
- But: Thin, watery finish

Review by Rowald Sweet Empire
Last year I was part of a group of rum enthusiast to taste the proto-version of this rum. It was not done at that stage but clearly heading towards an interesting direction. After that the agricole was added which is very prominent in this rum. Taste: burnt sugar. Bitterness. French oak. More towards a spice woody dark side than fruitiness. Nicely balanced. A lot more original than the first Tamosi blend which leans on Foursquare and Panama a lot. This could have been a bit more funky but it might have fucke with its balance.

Guyana on the nose, lots of burnt coffee. The palate is bitter and watery. Caramel, but rather industrial, and an almost Port-like quality. Clearly lacks elegance. Really not great.

What an intense mixture of aromas. For me, the Guyana component is very dominant, especially on the nose. A lot of wood influence on the palate. Lots of Guyana here too and the Jamaican part keeps popping up. Exciting but very tart. You have to like that. It's also a little thin and has a watery finish. P/L but very good if you are looking for dark aromas.

Delicious & complex blend. All components come into their own. Could just be a little longer in the finish

Edit: tried the rest again as RumCola, but in my opinion only suitable to a limited extent. Overall, however, the rating remains the same. A great sipper, more in the category of entry-level rum. It tastes good, but still lacks something. The finish is relatively short.
Review by Alex1981
Exciting blend from different countries of origin, with Guyana & Agricole dominating here. Beautiful dark fruits combined with a tart freshness, tastes good! Unfortunately a little thin and short, would otherwise have scored a few more points.
