Basically a really elegant and tasty Agricole with a finish in fine wine barrels which is quite successful. Subtly reminiscent of old grappa from Amarone barrels with this spiciness, fruit, sweetness and at the same time a lot of barrel influence. Dark chocolate, sour cherry and tobacco are added on the finish. It's very easy to drink but I think € 260 is a bit excessive. Nevertheless, really tasty and successful!

Edit: after a long time, the rum has oxidized well and thus rounded. The kumquat has given way to orange jam with well-present woodiness and spices. I'm not sure about the contribution of the Chassagne barrel. This rum finds an interesting balance between dark chocolate and tangy aromas like kumquat. A good rum but way too expensive!
