CDI T.D.L Trinidad (Colheitas / Auld Alliance) 2003
Mint-and-menthol lovers are the real audience here — a 2003 T.D.L. that leans cool and fresh, with peach, vanilla and a little oak underneath. Several tasters note it's lighter and quieter than other 2003 bottlings, with the long aging smoothing off the usual edges. One member called it "not as expressive as others," and the finish — peach-mint iced tea — is where most people agree it shines.
- Fresh mint-menthol
- Peach-mint finish
- Well-integrated alcohol

How does CDI T.D.L Trinidad (Colheitas / Auld Alliance) 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Cool, minty TDL that's a little subdued Most call it a good, typical minty TDL that's been tamed by age. Cask strength but well-integrated; the recurring catch is that it reads a touch muted and one-note next to its 2003 siblings.

Really minty on the finish. Almost like chewing on a dried mint. After aerination, the nose develops more towrds really nice "darker" notes - baking spices, wood, dried fruits.

Intense mint and menthol notes lingering on the nose. Notes from the cask - vanilla and wood - also present creating a balanced profile. Balance is also what you find in the palate. Despite its age, this release shows a lighter profile versus other 2003 bottlings. Akin to the Single Cask Nation Angostura release. All classic notes are there yet in a less heavy overall composition. Refreshing.

Once again a very good, typical 2003 TDL that has that exciting minty note!

Nice TDL that can't really stand out... Typical notes of mint, chocolate and caramel. Delicious but not very recognizable. Still grateful to be able to try it.
Review by RumTaTa

Review by Johnny Rumcask
One of the better representatives of TDL. But the result is a less exciting rum: wood, caramel, not much more. Alcohol well integrated. Age has obviously sanded down all the edges of a distillate that is not very expressive anyway. Easy boring sipping
