Swell de Spirits s’essaye à un assemblage de plusieurs origines assez audacieux. Le nez est dominé par des notes funky, médicinales et minérales, notamment les esters. Les fruits tropicaux (banane) et la poire sont également présents, appuyés par des notes florales et des effluves de canne à sucre et de vanille. Un nez plutôt ample et généreux. Le duel est plus équilibré en bouche. Les esters et les fruits sont toujours perceptibles, mais le bois et les épices poussent derrière, renforcés par le caramel et le miel. On retrouve un petit côté métallique qui donne un peu de cachet à ce profil tout en rondeur. L’alcool est bien intégré. La finale est d’une longueur correcte. Le mélange d’origines se fait ressentir avec un côté plus rond, caramélisé et pimenté d’un côté, et une face plus fruitée, médicinale et tannique de l’autre. Le blend se boit plutôt bien, même si cela se fait au détriment de la complexité. Swell de Spirits vise un marché plus accessible et grand public avec cette cuvée, qui reste élaborée mais très abordable en termes de prix et de dégustation.

Interesting new mixing rum, especially a great daiquiri rum! Pure but a little too thin, unfortunately. The nose is incredibly fun, but the taste isn't quite as fruity as I'd hoped and I don't think the wood quite fits the picture here either... It's a shame that potential was wasted here, either the wood should have been left out completely or allowed to mature longer. As it is, it's a bit of a hermaphrodite and can't decide what it wants to be... On its own, it's also too bitter and medicinal on the finish... But it really cuts an outstanding figure in a daiquiri! The little bit of wood adds some vanilla to the otherwise intense notes of banana, raspberry and green bell pepper.

Nouvelles notes de dégustation : évidemment c’est un bébé Swell. Pas une grande cuvée mais il part dans tous les sens et proposent de beaux fruits. Globalement manque un peu de punch pour moi, mais très apprécié par la table. Anciennes notes : "Vraiment cool à ce prix, un must have ? En resume, mes notes de degutation : Au nez : Fruits tropicaux, Ester En bouche : Fruits jaunes, Ester, Bois jeunes La finale plutot orientee vers : Fruits jaunes"

Je ne peux pas être trop exigeant avec ce blend lorsque je connais le tarif peu élevé. Le nez est très largement dominé par le fruité , un mix de poire banane, passion, un peu de sucre aussi. En bouche c est moins précis même si on a e.vore du fruité qui évolue vers un côté plutôt végétal et léger boisé jeune. La finale est courte un peu d amertume du style agrume.

Interessanter exotischer blend den swell da hingestellt hat und der auch gleich Mal mit einer schönen Düften in der Nase aufwarten kann. Urlaubsfeeling...ja das trifft es. Schöne Ester-Frucht Kombination. Am Gaumen überwiegt hingegen etwas junges holz und das ganze wird mehr Floral. Als mixer ein interessanter Außenseiter, pur fehlt mir dann doch zuviel.

Très agréable, doux et enveloppant sans être écoeurant. Très bien entre le plat et le dessert. Nez d'abord sur la banane, un peu de canne derrière. Puis la crème de cassis. Belle entrée, pâtissier un peu de fruit exotique. Gras en bouche, très doux, un peu de boisé puis la charlotte aux fruits rouges. S'éteint un peu vite.

Très déçu, pour moi il est très proche d un alcool de riz avec une touche de litchi. Si je compare avec le lao kao (alcool de riz de Thaïlande qui coute 3 euros sur place), je ne trouve quasiment aucune difference, ni au nez, ni en bouche. Swell nous avait vraiment habitué à une qualité très supérieure à ça. Peut être que certains vont apprécier, pour ma part, je passe mon chemin.

Nez qui évolue beaucoup, passant de la canne fraîche, aux épices puis aux fruits. Très prometteur. La bouche en revanche nous laisse sur notre faim, et les saveurs sont très difficile à distinguer, même si la canne à sucre prends justement une place prédominante. Intéressant mais bouche un peu décevante.

Un rhum aromatique avec notamment un nez très frais sur le litchi agréable. Tombe malheureusement un peu a plat en bouche et sur la finale dommage. Un peu d'amertume dérangeante dans mes souvenirs à l'ouverture, nettement attenué après. Je n'ai pas eu trop de difficultés à finir la bouteille ceci-dit 😅

All in all, it's not really something I'd like to drink straight again. I can imagine it in a daiquiri etc. or in a TiPunch. Mixed with cola for a CubaLibre, I didn't really like it either.

L'assemblage délivre des arômes fruités au nez, sans exubérance, avec une canne bien présente. On retrouve en bouche la même trame, mais elle manque de corps. Pour les amateurs de subtilité.

Un blend dans lequel le Jamaicain est bien présent. Un nez plutôt léger. En bouche, c'est fruité, un peu d'esters. Une sensation étrange pas que je n'ai pas identifié. Pas convaincu.
