An absolute beast of an agricole Blanc. The 64% is noticeable but overall well integrated. On the nose pure sugar cane with this Guadeloupe partly typical medicinal mineral note and little fruit. Then on the palate pure sugar cane, some tart honeycomb, pear, bitter orange, bitter licorice and vanilla bean without the core. The finish warm and heavy and slightly bitter medicinal. Not quite mine neat but in ti punch it shows what it can do. Heavy, thick and oily, the licorice is suddenly gone and Williams pear and ginger and honeycomb emerge instead. Very tasty!

RumX and Swell de Spirit online tasting, March 2024. An incredibly complex nose with yellow fruit, especially pear, vegetal and floral notes. A rum that has waited a few years in vat before being bottled. The palate is sweet and fresh, like a light menthol. The William pear is present - you can even taste its grain - but other fruits, plants, flowers and a hint of sweetness create incredible harmony and complexity. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious. The alcohol is perfect. For me, quite simply the best white rum I've tasted to date.

This is one of the best unaged Rhums that I had (so far). The nose starts with freshness (cucumber, hay, lime zest, hints of mint) and fresh grain that that resembles a a really nice woodiness. On the palate it is sweeter than one would expect, adding pears, ginger and orange peel. Great! The finish more on the vegetal Agricole-ish side again and surprisingly long for an unaged. Additional honey and a few olives make a great ending.

Liquid proof that a premium white rum can be excellent. The nose develops vegetal and floral notes, notably sugarcane and herbs, then becomes a little spicier and fruitier, notably citrus (lemon and lime). The profile is agricultural, medicinal and intense, but it's bluffly masterful. You can feel that this rum is the result of a long process on the part of the bottler. This Bielle also impresses on the palate, as it stands on its own. Sugar cane and beeswax add sensuality to a fresh, vegetal, floral and herbaceous profile. Citrus fruits remain very present, notably lemon zest and lime, but also olive and pear. The profile is a little spicy and dry, but fearsomely round and complex, with an unexpected touch of vanilla. The alcohol is superbly well integrated. You don't need ingredients for Ti Punch, this Bielle is one in its own right. The finish is long and as varied as ever. There's lemon zest, olive and pear for fruitiness, floral and vegetal freshness, sweet, honeyed sugar cane, a hint of spice (ginger) and a slight bitterness that warms the palate. Probably one of the best premium white rums ever bottled, Swell's hard work has paid off with this cuvée, which is as generous as it is delicate, with a perfect balance between aromas and alcohol.

A very good Agricole Blanc...the 2 years of aging have done it a world of good...the fresh fruity note complementing the herbal component results in an all-around first-class taste. The alcohol is excellently integrated. It also performs very well in TiPunch. If the finish didn't have the existing bitter note, it would have earned an additional 0.2 - 0.3 points.

A really great unaged agricole from Bielle. Fresh sugar cane notes on the nose paired with citrus fruits and herbal aromas. On the palate, the reduction to 64% works impressively well, the rum neither lacks expressiveness nor is it overwhelming with its strength - everything is well balanced, a great overall picture of sugar cane, fresh citrus fruits, grassy-vegetable aromas and subtle spices unfolds. The blend is held together by a subtle sweetness that combines notes of sugar cane and a little caramelized sugar and rounds off the profile very successfully. A great rum that is also an absolute delight when enjoyed on its own.

Very oily viscosity in the glass with thick "tears" on the glass wall. Nose: Green olives, sugarcane and behind that sweet citrus fruits! I like it very much. The 64% ABV is very restrained. On the palate with a focus on floral notes but wonderfully balanced between sweetness, fruit, and agricole character. Very good rum and fits very well into the tasting series. The Neisson L'Esprit RX1058 used as a reference remains unsurpassed.

28.03.2024 Retasting at Swell de Spirits Masterclass and I stick to my score. ------------------------ #4159 This one is the bomb, especially when looking at the price tag. Intense and really fruity with very nice Agricole "green" notes. Needs to rest for a good while before it gives up all its flavours, but once ready it's a great rum. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some mineral and very light nuts.

Strong stuff. For me, it goes in the direction of my beloved Agricole from Martinique or the Caribbean. I get citrus fruits in the nose and palate. The 64% are definitely very well integrated. Top rum, looking forward to the other 7 :)

Intense and fine on the nose with vegetal cane, custard, citrus. Warm and a bit pungent on the palate, then fresh and vegetal, finally melting and creamy on the finish with cane and soft pastry sweetness. A superb white with a perfectly integrated ABV, which reminds me a bit of Bielle Baltazia. Oscillates between 87 and 88.

A distinct olive note on the nose that reminds me of Clairin, but at the same time too "clean". Citrus fruits come on the tongue, together with strong forest honey. The honey sweetness then also nicely masks the slight alcoholic note. The finish leaves a pleasant bitterness and warmth together with lemon peel.

Wow, unexpectedly fruity and sweet. Really one of the best white agricoles I've had in a glass so far. The grassiness is present here, but in the background. Too bad I could only get one bottle.

Very good Agricole, which really shines in Ti Punch. Purely vegetal notes, green cuttings, some ash, strongly astringent, like I've never had in any other Blanc. In Ti Punch then oily with a slightly smoky, fatty mouthfeel.

The nose is a great agricole scent. Very floral olives at the start. On the palate, extremely vegetal. But a great aroma and very full-bodied taste. Really nice agricole. Great selection from Swell again.

Definitely one of the best re-racked rums I've had in a long time. The typical sugarcane/citrus notes were not surprising. But the mix of vanilla and pear is quite unusual and lingers long on the palate.

On the nose, I don't feel the 64° at all. I have a strong vegetal side that stands out. I've got a lovely smell of cane and lemon/lemon zest (which gives the impression of a ready-made ti punch). On the palate, the texture is unbelievably fatty and mouth-filling. It's very round, and you don't feel the alcohol at all (as on the nose). It's the same as on the nose, with less vegetal and more fresh cane. On the finish, however, the vegetal notes return and take over again.
