Swell de Spirits Bielle Wonders of the World #16 2021

You get fresh-cut sugarcane, lemon and lime zest, green olive and a creamy, oily texture, with more sweetness than you'd expect. A couple of people note a slight bitterness on the finish, sharper still if you add water.

RumX and Swell de Spirit online tasting, March 2024. An incredibly complex nose with yellow fruit, especially pear, vegetal and floral notes. A rum that has waited a few years in vat before being bottled. The palate is sweet and fresh, like a light menthol. The William pear is present - you can even taste its grain - but other fruits, plants, flowers and a hint of sweetness create incredible harmony and complexity. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious. The alcohol is perfect. For me, quite simply the best white rum I've tasted to date.

This is one of the best unaged Rhums that I had (so far). The nose starts with freshness (cucumber, hay, lime zest, hints of mint) and fresh grain that that resembles a a really nice woodiness. On the palate it is sweeter than one would expect, adding pears, ginger and orange peel. Great! The finish more on the vegetal Agricole-ish side again and surprisingly long for an unaged. Additional honey and a few olives make a great ending.

Sehr ölig Viskosität im Glas mit dicken "Tränen" an der Glaswand. Nase: Grüne Oliven, Zuckerrohr und dahinter süße Zitrusfrüchte! Gefällt mir sehr gut. Die 64% ABV sind sehr zurückhaltend. Am Gaumen mit Schwerpunkt auf den floralen Noten aber wunderbar ausgewogen zwischen Süße, Frucht, und Agricole-Charakter. Sehr guter Rum und reiht sich sehr gut in die Verkostungsserie ein. Der als Referenz verwendete Neisson L'Esprit RX1058 bleibt aber unerreicht.

Starkes Teil. Geht für mich in Richtung meiner geliebten Agricole aus Martinique bzw. der Karibik. Hat für mich Zitrusfrüchte in Nase und Gaumen. Die 64% sind auf jeden Fall super eingebunden. Top Rum, bin auf die restlichen 7 gespannt :)

On the nose, I don't feel the 64° at all. I have a strong vegetal side that stands out. I've got a lovely smell of cane and lemon/lemon zest (which gives the impression of a ready-made ti punch). On the palate, the texture is unbelievably fatty and mouth-filling. It's very round, and you don't feel the alcohol at all (as on the nose). It's the same as on the nose, with less vegetal and more fresh cane. On the finish, however, the vegetal notes return and take over again.

28.03.2024 Retasting at Swell de Spirits Masterclass and I stick to my score. ------------------------ #4159 This one is the bomb, especially when looking at the price tag. Intense and really fruity with very nice Agricole "green" notes. Needs to rest for a good while before it gives up all its flavours, but once ready it's a great rum. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some mineral and very light nuts.

Al naso intenso e fine con canna vegetale, crema pasticcera, agrumi. Al palato caldo e un po' pungente, poi fresco e vegetale, infine scioglievole e cremoso sul finale con canna e soffice dolcezza di pasticceria. Un bianco superbo con un abv perfettamente integrato, che mi ricorda un po' il Bielle Baltazia. Oscilla tra 87 e 88

Hervorragender weißer Agricole und das für den Preis. Ärgert mich, dass ich nur ein Sample hatte. Der Alkohol ist wirklich extrem gut eingebunden. Eine tolle Süße, florale Noten, etwas fruchtig und Olive.

Very nice and high quality Agricola blanc. Intense fruity notes, citrus and freshness. ABV is redicoulsy well integrated, very smooth and creamy on the palate. Top notch. Cheers to Mika and the RumX team for making the master class possible. Very nice line-up!

Wow, unerwartet fruchtig und süß. Wirklich einer der besten weissen Agricoles die ich bisher im Glas hatte. Das Grasige ist hier zwar vorhanden, aber doch im Hintergrund. Schade, dass ich nur eine Flasche bekommen konnte.

Auf jeden Fall einer der besten umgelagerten die ich seit langem im Glas hatte. Die typischen Zuckerroh/Citrusnoten waren nicht überraschend. Aber die Mischung aus Vanille und Birne ist schon ungewöhnlich und bleibt lange am Gaumen

An absolute beast of an agricole Blanc. The 64% is noticeable but overall well integrated. On the nose pure sugar cane with this Guadeloupe partly typical medicinal mineral note and little fruit. Then on the palate pure sugar cane, some tart honeycomb, pear, bitter orange, bitter licorice and vanilla bean without the core. The finish warm and heavy and slightly bitter medicinal. Not quite mine neat but in ti punch it shows what it can do. Heavy, thick and oily, the licorice is suddenly gone and Williams pear and ginger and honeycomb emerge instead. Very tasty!

Ein sehr guter Agricole Blanc…die 2 Jahre Reifung haben ihm sehr gut getan.. die frische fruchtige Note in Ergänzung zum pflanzlichen Anteil ergeben ein rundum erstklassigen Geschmack. Der Alkohol ist hervorragend eingebunden. Auch im TiPunch zeigt er sich sehr gut. Wenn der Abgang nicht die vorhandene bittere Note hätte, wären durchaus 0,2 - 0,3 Punkte mehr dazugekommen

Swell Masterclass RumX 28.03.2024 So dank dem Tasting durch/mit RumX bin ich nun endlich mal dazu gekommen diesen zu probieren. Zu Glück habe ich noch ein weiteres Sample im Bunker, dass ich diesen auch im TiPunch ausprobieren kann, wo er für mich auch primär hingehört. Aber auch pur, kann ich nicht viel meckern.

Hoppala, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet, ein weißer, ungelagerter Zuckerrohrdestillat, dass neben den floralen Noten eine schöne Cremigkeit aufweist. Einer der am besten bewertesten weißen Rum für mich bisher.
